Whether you are visiting Vermilion Parish for business or pleasure, we extend to you a warm welcome! There's plenty to see and do during your visit. From festivals, cultural attractions, birding opportunities, interacting with the locals and more, you can experience it here! Located just minutes south of Lafayette and west of New Iberia, Vermilion Parish is easily accessible from I-10 via Hwy. 26, Hwy. 13, I-49/Hwy. 167 and Hwy. 90. All of these highways connect to Hwy. 14 which runs through our parish. You may also travel to Vermilion Parish from Texas via Hwy. 82. This is a scenic drive along our back roads where you can view nature and our wildlife. Bring your binoculars and be on the lookout for alligators and other critters along the way!
We invite you to begin your visit to "the Most Cajun Place on Earth"* at the Vermilion Parish Tourist Commission office located at 200 N. Magdalen Square, just across from downtown Abbeville's beautiful Magdalen Square. Our office is open Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm and Saturdays from 9am-1pm, when there is an event in downtown Abbeville.
